  1. We are no different than a wait person in a restaurant. We're in a flippin car is only difference!!! Show some appreciation!!!! And yes!!! Show the break down! It's funny how people are when you are face-to-face in a restaurant you're going to tip them but when they don't have to see your face they don't feel like they got to tip you…. Kind of like keyboard warriors…… We are the backbone of this company! 😊✌️✌️

  2. If base pay was 5$ or stayed 2.50 but actually went up based on the mileage of the order tips wouldnt be as much of a factor. The problem is they throw us 2.50 no matter how far away it is. So for further out customers they gotta tip fat af for a driver to even consider doing the job. Wish dd was like uber. If i take a 8 mile trip on uber it doesnt stay at 2$ base pay.

  3. Love your videos, I am a ex CDL A ,I just van it at my W2 job now, but looking for some side work without the whole adding to taxes I already pay, so I am thinking door dash with the high milage runs would be a great way to keep what I make at a side job.
I have a company van for work, so my old 2016 personal vehicle only has like 30,000 miles, it needs something to do, seems to me like every 100 dollars I can make ,as long as I drive over 150 miles to make it ,I can keep it for myself, I pay the government enough on the W2 ( thus why I need a second income) but bet they won't get my second income.
I have not signed up yet, I am down in central Florida ,interstate 4 area.
Yes I can see me taking the high milage runs, I like to drive LMAO.
Besides I need to make some extra money this year so I can buy some of that new green disaster stuff for my house and get them tax credits off my W2 .
If I drive far enough and buy enough green shit, hell I might get a refund next year, be the first time ever 😂
    Again love your videos

  4. I work in the Oklahoma market and I been doing gig work since 2017 and before DoorDash came to our market we had Postmates. With Postmates you never knew if customers were going to tip until 24 to 48 hours after you completed their delivery. That was rough. At least DoorDash tells you upfront if their might be a tip or not and the mileage. That is the only good thing I could say about DoorDash.

  5. Today was a shit show for me couldn’t make $200 made $150 going fucking 150 miles but like you it evens out weekly still sucks take care brother !!!
    Torp/Trump 2024 !!!

  6. Holy-Shit Torp! I ain't paid income taxes in like 20 years. Go Gray🐺

  7. There are those customers that understand what we go through, they are the biggest tippers. I'm laughing my ass off!!!! Screenshot mannerisms 😂😂😂 on point though. We have 2.50 base. Promo+3 in the gambling towns for like an hour to try to suck people up there.

  8. Torp, I've got something interesting for you. DD has rolled out a new system in my area. You have the choice to get paid by the order, or get paid by the hour, both plus tips. The hourly pay they offer is $15.50 per hour. The tips are gravy on top of that. $25 an hour is reasonable expectation. I'm in one of the bigger markets and I know the best areas to dash. Of course the $15.50 is as long as you're on a trip. For example a 30 minute round trip would be $7.75 if you didn't get another order in that hour.

  9. Door Dash will Not change anything because they dont have to. They know they can always count on drivers flocking to their platform to drive, all because drivers like the flexibility it offers. Drivers are literally willimg to drive for pennies to avoid getting a w2. Door dash knows that drivers value flexibility and so will not change anything as a result. Solution: Stop driving for these platforms until they start listening to drivers. Until drivers start getting paid better.
