  4. I have been delivering full time now for three years. I do the same thing I did on day 1. If an order makes sense to me I take it, if does not I do not take it. $8 minimum per order , miles have to be less than dollars. I do not look or care about my ratings. I do not care about any "programs" (like top dasher). If you let these things into your brain then they play games with your thought process and they influence your decision process – of course they do, that is why they invented these things like ratings, top dasher, diamond status – whatever. I never, never, never take "charity" orders. It only encourages more customers to want free delivery. But I do see how letting all these ratings and programs (just abstract ideas to me) into your head results in unlimited discussions, arguments, entertainment and produces lots of youtube channels. Friking hilarious.

  5. Gas goes up when the condition changes. IE world conditions. The economy is doing good. Prices go down when, IE world conditions, the economy is doing bad. Simple as that. Also uber Boston guy channel is good as far as information. Well if you don't mind bad english.

  8. Torp, I did a little research to show your theory of political posturing and oil prices. The full capacity level of the strategic oil reserve is 714 million barrels. The current level is 346 million barrels. It was widely known it was completely full at the end of the previous presidential administration. What I believe is going on is they're having to pump the brakes on the release of the oil from the SOR to save enough to suppress the price of oil and gas during the next presidential election. The SOR is already less than 50%, now they're having to conserve until the next election cycle. During the midterms you noticed the tap was turned on and gas prices fell about $1.50 a gallon. What worries me, what do we do when the SOR is depleted? And it will be if the current president is reelected.

Working 12 hour shifts is the only way to make money and use a peice of crap car, use a hot bag or hot bags, i have an electric one that plugs in, cold one for drinks, be nice to customers and cherry pick most of the time but don't be greedy about it or you'll just be sitting waiting for orders, also tripple app only in the same direction and dont be late or speeding around and get stressed out, if you can't handle it you'll find yourself in a pinch, Uber eats is my bread & butter
