As someone who worked in hotels doing night audit and sales for about 10 years, that seems very high for a deposit or even for a block of rooms. I'm not sure what that $5,000 was for but if it was just a deposit for a block of rooms or a convention area that's definitely seems very high for a shady hotel. I've only heard a little bit of this so I'll have to re-listen. Maybe I am misunderstanding
