Because it's easier to see what streets are around you and choose your own route.
It's easier to see the streets than on DoorDash.Or even google maps.
It's because they don't want you to be able to choose your own route.
A prime of example of. Humans relying too much on GPS and losing the ability. To rely on their own knowledge for navigation.
It's all about control. Seeing they would rather you just turn your brain off and go wherever they tell you, but then you'd end up always taking the highways when it's not really necessary and wasting your gas or else having to turn left across 6 lanes when it's full of traffic just because the g p s says that it's the quickest route, stuff like that.
Just another manipulation tactic from DoorDash is to try to make the streets harder to see on their glitchy navigation,
Maybe these bots will screw it up so bad that some of this customers will start to realize that having whatever you want delivered to your doorstep , buy a private driver is actually a luxury service… Nah, probably not.š

LOL too funny. How do you expect a vehicle that doesn't go any faster than 25 miles an hour going to be able to deliver the offers in your areas. Not all places have bike paths for them to travel on. The only other option would be to clog the roads where all the vehicles are now no need to worry folks we're not there yet. It'll be several years in the future to even figure out the proper logistics to do it it's wasted worry….
If it is going to be a thing, Amazon will do it first. No need to sound the alarm, yet.
10:13 NOTICE they did NOT mention cost of data each robot will cost per yearā the Doordash DOTS are easily over $125,000+ per robot with 3-4 year lifespann⦠taking $2 ordersā do the math⦠š¤Ŗ

The amount of infirstructrure change it requires to make robots take our jobs is years and years away at best.
